If the local & international fame of Koh Phangan relied mostly on its "full moon parties" (among many other attractive features that should not been overlooked), there is now something new to further enhance its appeal to worldwide public. Koh Phangan will host a festival of independant movies
First edition this year will show on April 5 & 6 ten short movies on the theme "nature and spirituality". The venet will take place at the Holiday Beach Resort.
Film directors from the whole world will display their work, so spectators will be able to enjoy various stories like one about the New York jew community musicians so as an anime about two thai monks .
'Eclectic' is the main motto of this festival aimed to promote the sharing of all artistic views in one place that is universally seen as a piece of paradise and is likely to attract more and more visitors in the future.
One important side feature of the fesival is that flora & fauna of Koh Phangan will be put forward, in the view to develop a sense of ecology in the island visitors minds. Environmental issues are some of the most important that Thailand has to deal with in the very near future. Let's encourage such a brilliant initiative .
