Just before dawn on Saturday Fire Rescue Units were called to the Tepprasit Road in Jomtien behind the 73 Apartments to deal with a car fire. At the scene, fire fighters were confronted with the Green BMW 320 which was completely engulfed in flames.

The owner of the car, Khun Narin aged 44 who works as a Tour Guide, looked on helplessly as fire fighters put out the flames. He was informed by neighbors that his car was on-fire. Witnesses mentioned seeing two men arrive on a motorbike who appeared to be of Chinese origin. They were carrying a container of what appeared to be gasoline and they proceeded to cover the car with the flammable liquid and started the fire. Police Lieutenant Colonel Egadit from Dongtan Police Sub-Station on Jomtien Beach was assigned to the case and believes that a problem relating to his work was the most likely motive behind the attack on his car. The investigation continues.
