BANGKOK, March 18 (TNA) – Thailand's Prime Minister Samak Sundaravej began an official visit to Singapore on Tuesday to introduce himself and strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries, both members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
The Thai premier is scheduled to meet prominent Singaporean leaders and figures, including Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, President S.R. Nathan, Minister Mentor Lee Kuan Yew, and Singapore Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean during his March 18-20 trip.
The premiers of both countries are set to discuss bilateral cooperation of the two countries in trade, investment, and labour-provision areas.
